In short

Most problems are one of five things: the extension is not connected, LinkedIn is signed out, a setting is off, an old copy of the extension is still running, or OpenAI has no credit.

Hover over any greyed out button in the extension or in Job Listings. It says why it is off.

Quick checks

Start with these five checks

  1. Is the extension connected? Click the Timelydo icon. It should show your name and Connected. If not, connect it (step 1).
  2. Is Job Tracker on? Integrations, Job Tracker should say Enabled.
  3. Are you signed in to LinkedIn in the same Chrome?
  4. Is the setting on? Company details and AI each have a switch in Job settings.
  5. Is it the current version? The version shows in the popup footer. After updating, reload the extension and refresh your LinkedIn tabs.
Hover over any greyed out button. The extension and Job Listings explain why a button is off, and often how to turn it on.

Frequently asked questions

Q

How do I reload or update the extension?

Download the zip again from the Job Tracker page, replace the folder, open chrome://extensions and press the reload icon on the Timelydo card. Then refresh any open LinkedIn tabs.

Q

How do I clear errors on the extensions page?

Open chrome://extensions, choose Errors on the Timelydo card and press Clear all. Old entries stay until you clear them, even after the cause is fixed.

Q

How do I disconnect and connect again?

Press Disconnect next to the browser on the Job Tracker page, then click the Timelydo icon and choose Connect. Your saved jobs and settings are kept.

Q

How do I see which version I have?

The version shows in the footer of the extension popup and beside your browser on the Job Tracker page.

Q

Is my data deleted if I turn Job Tracker off?

No. Turning it off disconnects every browser and hides the Jobs section. Your saved jobs, companies and resumes are kept, and switching it on again brings them back.

Q

Is it safe for my LinkedIn account?

The extension is slow and paced on purpose and uses your own signed in session. Automated tools can still conflict with LinkedIn's rules, so use it sparingly, keep pages per search low and avoid many tabs. You are responsible for how you use your account.

Q

What does the extension send to TimelyDo?

The jobs and company pages it reads in your signed in LinkedIn tab, and your connection token. It never sends your LinkedIn password.

Q

Where can I get more help?

Email support@timelydo.com from the address on your account, or start with the complete guide.
