Getting paid starts with charging in the right currency. From today your account has a currency of its own, and everything that involves money uses it as the starting point.
What is new
- Account currency. Choose it in your settings. New prices, payments and reports start in this currency.
- Every currency Stripe accepts. The list covers the currencies Stripe can charge in, each with its correct minimum amount.
- A searchable picker. Type a code like EUR, a name like Swiss franc, or a symbol. Names and symbols appear in your own language.
- Zero decimal currencies done right. Currencies such as the Japanese yen and the Korean won have no cents, and amounts are shown and stored that way.
Why it matters
Amounts are kept as exact whole numbers in the smallest unit of the currency, never rounded floating point values. What you charge is exactly what your client pays.
Good to know
You can change your account currency at any time. Prices you already set keep the currency they were made in.
