The short version
The invoices page shows outstanding, overdue, paid and drafts. Reports adds what is owed by age, days to pay, invoiced and collected by month, and top customers. Export CSV gives one row per invoice or one row per tax rate.
The invoices page
At the top of Invoices you see what is outstanding, what is overdue, what was paid in the chosen period and what is in draft. Choose the period (7 days to all time) and the currency next to it.
What customers owe, by age
Reports groups the open invoices by how long they are past their due date: not due yet, 1 to 30 days, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and more than 90 days. It always describes today, whatever period you choose.
Days to pay and monthly totals
Days to pay is the average number of days from the issue date to the last payment, for invoices fully paid in the period, compared with the period before.
The monthly chart covers the last twelve months. Invoiced is what you issued that month, less credit notes. Collected is the money received that month, less refunds. Top customers lists the five you invoiced most in the period.
Exporting for your accountant
Select Export CSV on the invoices page. The file holds the list as you filtered it, by tab, search, customer or currency. Tick rows in the list to export only those. Drafts are included only from the Drafts tab.
One row per invoice has the totals, payments, refunds, credit notes and what is still due. One row per tax rate has the net amount, tax and gross for each rate of each invoice, with the customer's country, tax number and tax note, which is how invoices are booked.
Amounts are plain numbers in the currency's own units and dates are written as year, month, day, so any spreadsheet reads them.
Tick invoices in the list for more: Download PDFs puts their PDFs in one zip, which takes a moment while they are printed. Mark paid records each one as paid in full today by bank transfer, cash or another way, without receipt emails.
